Alex Papadopoulos

Alex studied Psychology at the University of Sheffield (BSc, 2015). In 2016 he obtained his MSc in Human-Computer Interaction with Ergonomics from UCL’s Interaction Centre (UCLIC). A little after completing his MSc studies at UCLIC he joined the ExCiteS Research Group as a PhD student.

His PhD research is based on Horizon 2020’s “WeGovNow” project which is focused on civic participation in local government and aims to involve citizens into decision-making processes within their local environment by using the state-of-the-art digital technologies in community engagement platforms.

His research interests include Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and User Experience (UX) areas (usability, user research, accessibility etc.) in combination with Participatory GIS and Citizen Science.
