Successful launch of new journal: Migration and Society
Spring reception planned at UCL
A launch event will be held for the new interdisciplinary journal, Migration and Society, on 19th March from 5-8 pm In the UCL-Institute of Advanced Studies.
This will follow the successful inaugural issue, published in December 2018, focusing on historical and contemporary hostility and hospitality towards migrants.
It will also mark the publication of a second issue, guest edited by Annika Lems and Jelena Tošić (University of Bern), focusing on African-European trajectories of im/mobility.
Issue 3 is being planned, on Recentering the South in Studies of Migration, with a paper submission deadline of 31 May 2019 (See Call for Papers, below)..
Migration and Society is edited by Dr. Mette Berg (UCL Social Science), Professor Elena Fiddian-Qasmiyeh and Dr. Jo Waters (UCL Geography). Other UCL colleagues, including Professor Claire Dwyer, Dr. Hélène Neveu Kringelbach and Professor Ann Phoenix, are on the journal’s International Editorial Board.
