Research
Migration and remittances- A study of remittances from Nigerian migrants in London (working title)
Remittances are transfers of money from residents of one country to residents of another country. I aim to analyse the remittance landscape by using data from Nigerians and Money Transfer Operators (MTOs) in London as a case study.

Biography
After my Master’s degree, I took a break from academia to raise a family and pursue a career in programme management. As an activist for promoting UK investments to facilitate economic development in Africa, I was interested in the role remittances play in the Migrant’s economic landscape and therefore chose to pursue further research into remittances. I am specifically interested in the mechanisms that make remittances to Africa happen – who controls it and how Nigerian migrants engage with the channels available to send money back home.
