Cosy Science: Climate projections

Dr Chris Brierley spoke at September's edition of Cosy Science: a cafe scientifique held in the Cittie of Yorke on High Holborn.

Cosy Science is a regular event that discusses scientific issues in a comfortable atmosphere:

Chris spoke about climate projections, in advance of the September publication of the latest IPCC report.

He talked about how scientists create projections (both the logistics and science); what they can tell us (what assumptions and scenarios have been used); and how much we should believe them (what is the uncertainty in them).

About sixty people attended the talk, which was followed by a puzzle and a long question and answer session.

The next edition will be about friendly viruses ( as part of the Bloomsbury Festival.
