Depending on your chosen level of study, you will need to read and follow one of the following pathways in order to submit an application to the Department.
Applications for Undergraduate Programmes at UCL should be made through UCAS (the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). Applicants currently at school or college will be provided with advice on the process; however, applicants who have left school or who are based outside the United Kingdom may obtain information directly from UCAS.
Please ensure you’ve read the guidelines and entry requirements for the Programme you wish to apply for before submitting your application. You can return to the Undergraduate Programme page, if you wish to revisit the Programme overview and entry requirements.
If you have any further queries about our Undergraduate Programmes, you can contact our Admissions Tutor, Dr Russell Hitchings. Please do read all the information online before contacting us.
Graduate Taught Programmes
If you are applying for Graduate Taught or Graduate Research Programmes, you will submit your application directly to the central admissions team at UCL. Please ensure you have read the Programme guidelines and entry requirements before submitting your application. You can return to the Graduate Taught page if you wish to revisit the Programme overviews and entry requirements.
Graduate Research Programmes
Formal applications for Graduate Research Programmes are made via the central UCL admissions pages. If you have any questions about research opportunities before making an application, please contact the Geography Office or Dr Helen Bennion. You can return to the Graduate Research page if you wish to revisit opportunities for MPhil and PhD Programmes.
If you have read all of the information online and still have questions regarding your application, please email the Geography Department.
Please bear in mind that applications are handled centrally and due to the large number of applications we receive, it may take a little while before a decision on your application can be returned. Please don’t be alarmed if you do not hear from us straight away.
Fees and Funding
Fees differ depending on the Programme you wish to undertake. Please visit the Programme pages, as referenced earlier on this page, to find out what fees you will be required to pay.
You can search for funding opportunities for our Programmes using the UCL Scholarships page.
