I am a member of the Recent Environmental Change and Biodiversity (RECB) research cluster, and my research interests focus on aspects related to biodiversity and nature conservation. My research group studies the patterns of insect and plant diversity in space and time, models the environmental factors influencing these patterns and investigates the impacts ecosystem restoration and habitat management have on biodiversity. Environmental factors we are particularly interested in are land-use patterns, climate change and invasive species. Our research is primarily based in China and the UK.

Some of our current and future research interests can be summarized as

                                                                                                                                                    • Biodiversity

Other impacts of my research include contributions towards an improved understanding of the colonization patterns and processes of invasive plant species, which are becoming an increasingly severe problem across the world.
