Busy time for summer conferences

ECRC at International Paleolimnology Symposium

The Environmental Change Research Centre has been widely represented at research conferences during the summer.

These include the 13th International Paleolimnology Symposium, held in Lanzhou, China, on August 4-7.

Presenting papers from UCL were Rick BattarbeeHelen Bennion, John Birks, Hilary BirksIzzy Bishop, Roger FlowerJonathan Holmes and Lucia Lencioni.

Roger, Hilary and Rick were also awarded International Paleolimnological Association 'Lifetime Achievement Awards'

 

Other meetings have included:

The Society for Ecological Restoration (SER) World Conference, in Manchester on 23-27 August, where Emily Alderton, Jessica Durkota and Helen Greaves made presentations.

Earlier, Emily and Helen had also spoken at the Symposium for European Freshwaters (SEFS9)  in Geneva on 5-10 July.

Finally Jen Adams and Poppy Harding presented a talk and poster, respectively,  at the Quaternary Research Association Postgraduate Symposium, held in Cambridge on 2-9 September.
