Best dissertation prize for Amanda

Modelling the Mekong

Amanda Green has been awarded the British Hydrological Society’s 2012 Student Award for the best undergraduate dissertation in hydrology.

Her dissertation, Quantifying uncertainty in projections of river discharge in the Mekong River Basin under climate change”, was based on the development of a MIKE SHE hydrological model of the Mekong River and its use to assess a range of climate change scenarios.

Amanda’s work was supervised by Dr Julian Thompson and Dr Richard Taylor, and she plans to develop the work further through PhD studies in the Department.
