Richard Munton reviews DEFRA's evidence strategy

The evidence strategy covers research objectives as well as working practice with various partners right across the spectrum of environmental and rural concerns.  In total, DEFRA spends more than £200m per annum on research related activities, more than the ESRC.

In early October Richard will chair a panel reviewing research in Geography, Architecture and Archaeology at the University of Cork in an exercise very similar to the current UK RAE – and in between will be acting as external examiner to the environment MSc at the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford.
