Geography wins Platinum Green Impact Award 2015

The 15th September saw “G.I. Geog”, the UCL Geography Green Impact team, presented with the Platinum Award for its achievements in this year’s UCL programme. It scored the top mark overall in UCL and received a special “excellence in sustainability” trophy to mark the victory!

The trophy is made from the old bean tree in the UCL Front Quad, felled in the storms of 2014. Visit the GreenUCL website to find out how they were made.

Green Impact starts again straight away, and the team is already starting new campaigns throughout the department. Anyone with ideas and suggestions, or who would like to be involved, should contact Green Champion, Miles Irving.

Miles is pictured receiving the award from the Vice-Provost, Professor Anthony Smith.
