Faisal explains Daylight Saving Time

UCL Geography Doctoral Researcher, Faisal Umar Kaita, appeared as a guest on the BBC Hausa Service on 7 November.

Faisal featured on a programme called, ‘Amsoshin Takardunku’, which roughly translates as ‘Answers to your questions’.

He participated as an expert, responding to questions on Daylight Saving Time (DST) sent in by listeners, and why it is practiced in countries around the world.

According to BBC statistics this service attracts over 20 million listeners per week in the Hausa speaking countries across West Africa.
