Service Provision for the homeless in Westminster

National Urban Dissertation Prize goes to Emma

Emma Colven has won the 2012 Undergraduate Dissertation Prize of the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) Urban Geography Research Group.

Her study, A neoliberal political agenda? The debate surrounding outdoor service provision for the homeless in Westminster, was supervised by Professor Jenny Robinson. It was described as exemplifying some of the outstanding urban research taking place at all levels of British Academica.

This is the second year running that the Award has gone to a UCL student, following Ravi Soni in 2011.

Emma is currently completing a Masters in Cities at KCL, and aiming to undertake a PhD: http://uk.linkedin.com/in/emmacolven
