Richard Taylor is Keynote Speaker at UNESCO Seminar in Paris

The impacts of climate change and rapid development on groundwater resources in East Africa

On 14th and 15th November, Dr Richard Taylor gave a keynote presentation and chaired a special session at a UNESCO Seminar in Paris, Raising Awareness and enhancing adaptive capacity of water resources planning and management to climate change impacts.

 

In his paper, Richard discussed The impacts of climate change and rapid development on groundwater resources in the tropics: evidence from East Africa. The session he chaired was on, Expectations and Recommendations towards IPCC AR5 and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The purpose of the Seminar was to propose practical solutions for further consideration at the 6th World Water Forum in Marseilles in March 2012.
