Ravi wins National Dissertation Prize for Urban Geography

Ravi Soni has been awarded this year's Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) Urban Geography Research Group Dissertation Prize for his final year undergraduate dissertation, supervised by Dr Pushpa  Arabindoo, entitled Urban regeneration and the effect on small established businesses: the case of Eastside.

In his letter announcing the award, the UGRG  Prize Coordinator, Dr Tom Slater (University of Edinburgh), commented that they felt the research  'made a genuinely original contribution to the literature on the topic. No mean feat for an undergraduate dissertation!'

The UGRG plans to make the dissertation available on-line at http://urban-geography.org.uk/awards
