Ocean wave refraction and coastal geomorphology in the Scilly Isles

Christopher Checkley, who graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Geography in 2011, has been awarded this year's British Society for Geomorphology (BSG) Marjorie Sweeting Dissertation Prize for his final year undergraduate dissertation entitled, An evaluation of wave conditions and coastal features around the Isles of Scilly utilising wave refraction modelling and coastal system mapping. His work was supervised by Professor Jon French.

The BSG intends to post an electronic copy of the dissertation on its website (http://www.geomorphology.org.uk/) in a section highlighting the quality of undergraduate geomorphological research in the UK.
