The RGS-IBG Hong Kon Research Grant is a single annual research grant of £2,500 to a postgraduate student of any nationality who intends to undertake geographical research in the Greater China region. Geography PhD student Xuhui will be using the grant to fund his trip back to China this month where he will conduct further field sampling and laboratory analyses at Tai Hu. Jorge Salgado is planning to use the Hugh Cary Gilson award to support his PhD work in the Lough Erne system, Northern Ireland.
