Professor Hugh Clout will become a Fellow of UCL at an inauguration ceremony to be held on 17 June 2008

Hugh Clout to become Fellow of UCL

The ceremony will see the inauguration of seven new Fellows and 13 new Honorary Fellows.  The UCL Fellowship is bestowed on those who have shown distinction in their careers and contributions to UCL.

Professor Clout has had a long and distinguished career in UCL having received his BA, MPhil and PhD from UCL.  He has taught at UCL since 1967 and was Dean of the Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences from 1995 to 2004.

Professor Clout holds the prestigious honour of a Fellow of the British Academy and is Doctorat honoris causa at the Sorbonne.
