To give keynote address at Belgian conference

Caroline Bressey awarded The 2015 Colby Book Prize

Dr Caroline Bressey has been awarded The Robert and Vineta Colby Scholarly Book Prize for her 2014 book,  Empire, Race and the Politics of Anti-Caste.

The prize is awarded by The Research Society for Victorian Periodicals (RSVP) for the scholarly book that most advances the understanding of the nineteenth-century British newspaper or periodical press.

RSVP is an international association dedicated to the exploration of the 19th-century press, whose members study British literature and the history and culture of Britain and its empire, as well as book and media history.

Caroline will give a keynote address about Anti-Caste at the Society’s annual conference in Ghent this summer.

This is the second book prize Caroline has been awarded for Empire, Race and the Politics of Anti-Caste which is published by Bloomsbury Academic and will be out in paperback from May 2015.
