Chris Brierley to spearhead Royal Institution's science short courses

Introduction to climate science

The Royal Institution has been at the forefront of science communication for over 200 years. As well as offering individual public lectures, it has recently begun offering more focused Science Short Courses, for lay people with curiosity about how our world works and where it is heading, to explore topics in much greater detail.

Dr Chris Brierley is leading their offering this summer, with a course extending over six week from May to July focused on the science of climate change. It will cover everything from atmospheric radiation (first described in the 1860s at the Royal Institution by John Tyndall) to public health impacts and the prospects for geoengineering.
