Biodiversity in London’s Brownfield sites

An essay completed for the UCL Geography final year Independent Study module has been accepted for publication by a peer-reviewed journal, The Entomologist’s Record.

Genevieve Leong’s study was of Brownfield sites and invertebrate biodiversity in the post-industrial environment of London. The research was supervised by Professor Matthew Gandy.

The Independent Study course allows students to get a greater sense of the practicalities of geographical research by working on projects suggested by staff members.
