On 3rd and 4th March, Dr Charlotte Lemanski is in Vancouver presenting her case study chapter on 'Gated communities and land invasions in Cape Town'.

Gated communities and land invasions

Dr Charlotte Lemanski is participating in a meeting organised by the Canadian government that brings together various contributors to an upcoming volume on Human Security and Cities, due to be published in Autumn 2008.  Dr Lemanski will present her case study chapter on 'Gated communities and land invasions in Cape Town', which considers the implications of these diverse urban processes for the City and for public security.
