Dr Andrew Harris organised a one-day workshop in the Department on 27th May, entitled "Urban artscapes: revisioning contemporary London".
UCL E-Learning Grant awarded
Dr Alan Ingram has been awarded a UCL E-Learning Development Grant to help develop a new third year undergraduate module on Geographies of Security.
Cities in Modernity Book Launch
Richard Dennis's new book, 'Cities in Modernity: Representations and Productions of Metropolitan Space, 1840-1930' is being launched at a reception in UCL on 17 June, following on from the Environment Institute's 'Stinkfest' at which Richard is giving the opening talk.

Among a slate of other distinguished recipients, from the arts and sciences, business and philanthropy, Professor Hugh Clout was awarded a Fellowship of UCL at a ceremony on 17 June 2008.
Master's students visit nuclear fusion reactor sites
Federico Caprotti, Susannah Fisher and Master's students from the MSc in Environment, Science and Society visited UKAEA and JET experimental nuclear fusion reactor sites in Oxfordshire.
