Empire, Race and the Politics of Anti-Caste, Dr Caroline Bressey's biography of Catherine Impey and her Victorian anti-racist periodical Anti-Caste, edited monthly from her home in Somerset from 1888, has been published by Bloomsbury Academic and is available in hardback at £32.50.

The book maps the international geographies of anti-racism that appeared in Anti-Caste, as well as the geographies of its readership and the women’s activism that contributed to Anti-Caste’s success, as well as its demise in 1895.
