Rethinking feminist contributions to global urban studies

Bridging the divide between the global South and global North

Rethinking feminist contributions to global urban studies

In November, Professors Jenny Robinson and Ann Varley were invited speakers at a workshop on Rethinking Feminist Interventions into the Urban held at York University in Toronto, Canada.

The workshop, supported by the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, brought together 22 Canadian and international interdisciplinary researchers – academics, graduate students, and practitioners – to investigate bridging the divide within feminist urban studies between the global South and the global North.
