‘Bridging the Gaps’ success to foster interdisciplinary research

Planning the Sustainable City

Dr Andrew Harris, in collaboration with Dr Susan Moore from the Bartlett School of Planning, has been successful in gaining a ‘Bridging the Gaps’ award to run a programme entitled 'Geographical Perspectives on Planning the Sustainable City'. This will develop interdisciplinary dialogue at UCL into the production and circulation of urban sustainability knowledge, especially through a Workshop to be held in March 2010.

The three-year ‘Bridging the Gaps Programme’ is funded at UCL by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council to promote interdisciplinary research on all aspects of sustainable cities, particularly in the context of climate change.
