International migration patterns examined in Paris

John Salt represents the UK at annual OECD meeting

As the UK Correspondent, in early December Professor John Salt attended the annual meeting in Paris of the OECD's permanent committee for reporting on international migration, SOPEMI. Over three days a wide range of issues was discussed relating to international migration in OECD member states, including irregular migration, migration by both high and low skilled workers, and family reunion. Papers were also presented on the situations in Russia and Israel, two new OECD members.  John led a discussion on movement by Posted Workers and other Service Providers.
