The importance of citizen science

On 8th August 2013 Dr Hilary Geoghegan appeared on Dara O’Briain’s Science Club. She talked about enthusiasm and citizen science.

In an episode dedicated to DIY Science, Hilary discussed with Dara and Alok Jha (environmental journalist) the importance and potential of citizens to act as eyes and ears on the ground in science projects.

The episode is currently on iPlayer – Hilary’s contribution can be found about 20 minutes in.
