Britain from Above

CASA has contributed to the new BBC television series Britain From Above, starring Andrew Marr. The first episode was broadcast on Sunday 10 August on BBC One.

Britain from Above

UCL's Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA) have assisted the new BBC programme 'Britain From Above' by organising and refining vast hordes of information, such as the 2001 Census, the intricate network of railways and even the GPS traces of 400 London taxis.  The programme, which is filmed in High Definition and spans BBC One, Two and Four, seeks to show how everyone is interconnected throughout Britain, and uses cutting edge technology to view Britain as you have never seen it before.
