Students’ choice from 350 nominations

Jason Dittmer a UCLU “Outstanding Teacher” for 2016

Professor Jason Dittmer, of UCL Geography, is one of three UCL staff to have won the UCL Union accolade of “Outstanding Teacher” in this year’s Student Choice Teaching Awards.

For the Awards students determine the award categories, set the criteria, nominate the potential awardees and decide who wins the awards. The overarching principle is to recognise and reward those who have made an outstanding contribution to the improvement of students’ lives at UCL.

There were over 350 nominations for the various categories of Award, and other Geography staff nominated this year were:

Dr Elena Fiddian-Qasmiyeh: Outstanding Teaching

Dr Carl Sayer Outstanding Personal Support
