Darren publishes Slow Guide to Dumfries and Galloway

Darren Flint, a UCL Geography MSc Conservation graduate, has published Slow Britain Guide to Dumfries and Galloway.

The book is the culmination of Darren's long-term plan to get more involved in conservation work. This was begun by laying down the academic groundwork on the UCL Conservation course. He then relocated to Dumfries and Galloway, becoming Project Manager of the Castle Loch Lochmaben Community Trust, near Lockerbie.

Darren now plans to increase university links, including to UCL, through collaboration on loch and wet-woodland research projects.
