The Geographies of the War on Terror

New book on the geographical analysis of security and insecurity

The Geographies of the War on Terror

Alan Ingram, with Klaus Dodds (Royal Holloway) has edited 'Spaces of Security and Insecurity: Geographies of the War on Terror' (Farnham: Ashgate 2009). The book examines the diverse geographies of the war on terror and associated practices of security, ranging widely across a number of domains, including international law, religion, migration, development, diaspora, art, nature and social movements. It considers how dominant visions of security have been woven into a variety of geographies, and also been questioned and contested.
