We are pleased to announce new funding available for UCL Geography MSc programmes for the 2014-15 academic year. PhD funding is announced here.
UCL Graduate Support Bursary (GSB)
The UCL Graduate Support Bursary scheme forms part of UCL’s wider initiative to support Master’s students. The scheme is aimed at supporting traditionally under-represented groups to progress to graduate study at UCL. Within Geography, bursaries are available for the programmes:
MSc Aquatic Science
MSc Environmental Modelling
MSc Global Migration
MSc Urban Studies
See the Graduate Support Bursary pages for how to submit a bursary application.
You must have applied separately for admission to the programme, through the standard admissions procedure.
We will award two full-time studentships comprising tuition fees at the Home/EU level and a maintenance stipend (£11,681). One award will be made within the physical geography programmes and one in the human geography programmes, and are for full-time study in the 2014-15 year.
The Maconochie Awards are partial fee waivers for UCL Geography MSc programmes. One £3,000 waiver is available for each programme (Note: MSc Geographic Information Science is run by UCL Civil and Environmental Engineering).
To be considered for the Maconochie funding, you must have applied for admission to one of our MSc programmes by Friday 16th May 2014. There is no separate application for the funding. The studentships and fee waivers will be awarded on academic merit.
The awards are only available to those intending to start in September 2014, and who do not already have a significant scholarship or award. Awardees will be informed in mid-late June.
