Widening Participation Initiatives

The Geography Department is involved in a number of initiatives to encourage students from a wider range of social and economic backgrounds to apply to UCL. Many of these are coordinated through UCL’s Widening Participation Unit.

UCL Geography staff are often happy to talk at schools’ conferences or GA lectures. Please contact members of staff directly via their home pages or contact us at info@geog.ucl.ac.uk.

Our students also participate in the Geography Ambassadors Scheme run by the Royal Geographical Society with the Institute of British Geographers. For more details see www.rgs.org
