Details of membership of the committee

Safety Committee

Any safety issues can be reported to any member of the Departmental Safety Committee and they will be raised at their regular meetings. The Committee reports directly to the Head of Department and the termly Staff Meeting. Recommendations on the implementation of policy arising from these issues will be made to the Strategy Committee by the Safety Committee.

The Departmental Safety Committee consists of:

  • DSO (Janet Hope),
  • HoD (Prof. Jon French)
  •  Computer Support (Ajay Chauhan)
  • DFA (Maria Rodriguez)
  • Deputy DSO (Nick Mann)
  • Radiation Officer (Dr.Handong Yang)
  • Labs and fieldwork (Dr. Viv Jones)

  • and whenever possible
  • the UCL Safety Services, Area Safety Officer (Steve Tidmarsh tel: 41751)
