- Paper published based on the European version of The Science of Marine Reserves report, working group for which co-chaired by Peter Jones. Copyright free version of this paper, the published version of which is currently the most downloaded paper from the journal Marine Policy.
- Invited presentation at UNEP Global Conference on Land Ocean Interactions, Manila, The Philippines 23-24 January 2012, in a break-out session on Ecosystem-based Coastal Planning and Management. Peter's presentation discussed the characteristics of resilient governance frameworks for effectively implementing ecosystem-based marine spatial planning, stressing the importance of ecological connectivity through institutional connectivity, including proposed further research to assess the institutional connectivity of marine spatial planning case studies.
