Research Interests

My research interests include regional economic transformation, regional competitiveness, the relationship between growth and inequality, political economy and evolutionary economic geography. My current research focuses on notions of regional competitivenss, the influence of regional policies on economic growth, stability and inequality, the impact of American recessions on regional and metropolitan employment evolutions and the geography of job creation and destruction in the UK economy.
