Research Interests
My research addresses issues of the hydrology and management of wetlands in the context of river basin management and sustainable development. Particular foci are:
- The monitoring of hydrological processes within wetland ecosystems.
- Hydrological and hydraulic modelling of wetlands.
- Assessment of the impact of human activities and environmental change upon wetlands.
- Sustainable management of water resources and wetlands.
The first two of these foci feed into the third and fourth through the provision of data and tools which are aimed at improving the management of wetlands. Research has been undertaken in the UK, Europe, North and West Africa, and Asia.
