Paul Longley leads UCL Geography input to project on space-time analysis, crime and policing

Crime, Policing and Citizens

Professor Paul Longley is to lead the Geography contribution to an interdisciplinary project at UCL funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. The research is a collaboration between UCL Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering, Geography, Computer Science and the Jill Dando Institute for Crime Science. Its shared purpose is to analyse crime patterns in space-time, assess their relevance to police deployment, and understand citizen perceptions of crime in London.

Crime, Policing and Citizens (CPC) will run for two years in the first instance but may be renewable up to 3.5 years.

Four Research Associate appointments have been advertised, and applications are invited by 7th February
