National Congress on Urban Land in Tijuana, Mexico

Professor Ann Varley was the guest of the organisers of the Fifth National Congress on Urban Land and IMPLAN, the Tijuana Metropolitan Planning Institute, on 8-9^th December 2011. She gave a plenary presentation, ‘¿Hacia un urbanismo poscolonial? Visiones recientes de la informalidad urbana en América Latina’, and also took part in sessions of two parallel conferences, on the Mexican Network of Cities for Sustainability, and FOROPOLIS. These were attended  by prominent academics, private sector representatives and local, regional and national government officials.
