Alex Singleton to chair and Daniel Lewis to be secretary of Royal Statistical Society User Group

UCL geographers take up key roles promoting geodemographics

Dr Alex Singleton has recently taken over as chair of the Royal Statistical Society Output Area Classification User Group (OACUG) committee, with Daniel Lewis, a UCL PhD student, as the new secretary. The OACUG represents geodemographic users in the academic, public and commercial sectors. They hope to build upon the past successes of the Group and increase its membership. OACUG is a voluntary and impartial body which aims to promote the general awareness and use of geodemographics by offering free events, training and news. The website of the Group is www.areaclassification.org.uk.
