Tracking Environment Change in Dry Regions: Funded places available or Summer School in China next July

The UCL Environmental Change Research Centre has actively participated in the growth of collaborative research between the UK and China in recent years. To strengthen these exchanges further, and especially to help early-career researchers and research students to benefit from contacts with researchers from the other country, Research Councils UK (China Office) has established a summer school programme. As part of this programme, and with the support of Lanzou University, Professors Jonathan Holmes (UCL) and Fahu Chen (Lanzhou) will host an advanced summer school at Lanzhou , 26 July - 1 August 2009. Funded places are available for junior academic staff, postdocs and researchers based in UK higher education establishments.
