Grant awarded for research-based summer school

Dr Jonathan Holmes has been awarded a grant to run a summer school for British and Chinese PhD students, postdocs and junior faculty on 'Tracking Environmental Change in Dryland Regions Using Lake Sediments.'

Grant awarded for research-based summer school

Dr Jonathan Holmes and Professor Fahu Chen (Lanzhou University) have been awarded £12,000 from Research Councils UK (RCUK) to run a research-based summer school for British and Chinese PhD students, postdocs and junior faculty on Tracking Environmental Change in Dryland Regions Using Lake Sediments. This grant was awarded as part of the first round of funding for UK-China summer schools from the RCUK Beijing office. The summer school will be held in Lanzhou in 2009.
