Urban artscapes: revisioning contemporary London
Dr Andrew Harris organised a one-day workshop in the Department on 27th May, entitled "Urban artscapes: revisioning contemporary London".
The workshop brought together geographers, artists, planners, regeneration specialists and architectural historians to explore the role of art and artists in recent processes of urban change in London. In particular the workshop considered how art projects can challenge ways in which the city is experienced, shaped and lived.
The workshop was supported by the UCL Urban Laboratory, RGS-IBG Urban Geography Research Group and the Economic and Social Research Council. For further information please click here.
