Professor John Salt was in Amsterdam where he acted as Rapporteur at an OECD-Dutch government seminar on Managing Highly Skilled Labour Migration.
Some of the major issues discussed were: whether highly skilled migrants are needed; management tensions between governments and employers; and the need for greater conceptual clarity.
