Global Change and Global Climate Change
Dr Mathias Disney was invited by Professor Huw Morris, Dean of the Manchester Metropolitan University Business School (MMUBS), to give the second annual Dean's lecture on Monday 21st January 2008.
Dr Disney's talk was entitled "Global change and global climate change: seeing the wood for the trees". He talked particularly about the need to understand our impact on the terrestrial carbon cycle through our management of forests and agriculture, and how new observations are allowing us to improve our understanding of the feedback between changing land use and climate.
