Project to find records of climate change over past 1000 years
Dr Viv Jones and graduate student Angela Self were invited to lecture on Palaeolimnological Applications and Quantitative Reconstructions at a summer school in ‘Global climate change; a palaeoenvironmental perspective’ at Centro EULA-Chile, the University of Concepción.
Fast Talking on Failed Public Security
Dr Charlotte Lemanski is currently participating in a 'Fast Talk' rapid expert consultation exercise for the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) on 'failed public security' as part of their Human Security and Cities initiative.

Development and the African Diaspora
On 29th December 2007, Dr Ben Page ran a one-day workshop in the town of Buea in Southwest Cameroon. The aim of the meeting was to disseminate results of the 3 year ESRC funded research project on 'Development and the African Diaspora.'
